People Are Waiting For Discounts on Etsy

Discounts and coupons. I have always thought that offering discounts and coupon codes on Etsy is not necessary. Just an optional way to get more sales.

But then I had an idea.

I don't want to offer my products at discounted prices.

Bad idea…

I Stopped Offering Discounts on Etsy: Here’s What I Found Out

discounts on Etsy

I used to offer many discounts in my Etsy shop. And many other sellers do it too.

As a result, many frequent Etsy customers have developed a strategy.

They favorite a listing or add it to their cart, then wait a few days to receive an email from the seller offering them a discount on that product.

I gave 25% off to people who left items in their carts and a 15% discount to thank repeat customers.

I thought these discounts were helping my shop. I believed they were attracting more customers and increasing sales.

But then I started to wonder: were these discounts really good for my business?

I decided to try something new. For a week, I stopped all discounts in my shop. I wanted to see what would happen to my sales and my customers.

My sales declined significantly, almost 30%. I even experienced days without a single sale.

If you'd like to learn more about it, here's my detailed article.

Digital Product Mistakes I Made and How You Can Avoid Them

mistakes with digital products

Mistakes are part of any business.

And I made a lot of them when I started selling digital products.

With a background in graphic design and print-on-demand shops, I had no idea what I could do with digital products.

So, I made a few mistakes:

  • I was not unique.

  • I didn't write the best product description.

  • I set prices way too high.

Let Me Explain What It Takes to Go From 0 to 10,000 Sales on Etsy

making money on Etsy

When you start any business, not only Etsy, any business, you have to set goals.

Just simple milestones you want to achieve in a specific period of time.

On Etsy, I always set a target date for my first sale, then I set a deadline for reaching 100 sales.

If I achieve it within the set time, I'll know that the shop may be successful in the long term.

But 10k sales?

This is another level.

Let me explain in this article what it really takes.

Changing a Text On Image in Canva

grab a text on photo in Canva

I have recently started using more AI tools within the Canva platform for my graphic designs and video creation.

I've even begun testing Canva for video editing instead of Premiere Pro.

And within this time, I have discovered that in Canva, you can easily grab a text from a photo and change it.

You can now not only edit text but also grab the main object from a photo and animate it, making your photo look more like a video than a still image.

I’m finding this cool.

This was my week.

It was quite interesting, and I hope you also found the experience I shared valuable.

Again, thank you for being a subscriber to this newsletter. I'm looking forward to next Sunday when I'll have tons of other information to share with you.

Have a nice day,
