Hidden POD Products That Can Make You More Money!
When I started selling my designs through print-on-demand, I did what many people do — I made t-shirts.
It’s easy, right?
Everyone needs a shirt, and it's simple to print designs on them.
But soon, I realized something important: everyone is selling T-shirts.
If I wanted to stand out and make more money, I needed to explore other products. That’s when I discovered some hidden gems in the print-on-demand world.
Today, I’m sharing a few underrated products that can bring more profit into your Etsy store.
These are things that people don’t think about right away but sell really well.
PRODUCT #1
Blankets
One product that can really help you make more money is blankets.
In fact, people love cozy blankets, and they’re always in demand, especially during the colder months.
You can print fun patterns, landscapes, or even personalized designs on them. Buyers love to give these as gifts, making them perfect for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions.
Blankets can be produced for about $20 or less, and you can sell them for much more — sometimes even $60 to $80!
That’s a huge profit.
Plus, blankets are not as common as T-shirts on Etsy, so you won’t face as much competition.
People are searching for unique, high-quality blankets, and you can be the one to offer that.
If you add blankets to your store, try offering personalization options. For example, let buyers add their names or choose custom designs.
This makes the blanket feel more special, and customers will be willing to pay extra for that touch.
PRODUCT #2
Bath Mats
Another product I discovered is bath mats.
Bath mats aren’t just a household item, they’re a great canvas for art!
You can offer custom designs or cool themes that fit different types of bathrooms.
Whether it’s a vintage style, a bright boho design, or something personalized, people love the idea of adding character to their bathroom.
The cost to produce a bath mat is about $19, and they usually sell for around $30 to $35.
That means there’s a good profit to be made. And unlike some products that are harder to sell, bath mats are practical. Everyone needs one!
PRODUCT #3
Phone Cases
We all use our phones daily, so why not add phone cases to your Etsy shop?
They’re lightweight and easy to ship, and people love showing off their style through their phone cases. You can design cases with cute animals, floral patterns, or even funny quotes.
The cost to produce phone cases can be as low as $4, and they can be sold for around $15 to $20, depending on the design.
That’s a nice margin.
And cool is that new phones come out all the time.
That means people will always need new cases. If you keep up with the latest phone models, you can stay ahead of the competition.
One tip: Try to create phone cases for the newest iPhone or Android models as soon as they’re released. This way, you’ll be one of the first sellers with fresh products in your shop.
PRODUCT #4
Hardcover Journals
I was surprised to learn how well hardcover journals sell.
They aren’t just for writing — many people use them for scrapbooks, cookbooks, or planners. If you can offer personalized or themed journals, buyers will be interested.
The production cost is around $13, and you can sell journals for $20 or more.
You can easily add different designs on the cover to match specific niches, like journals for travelers, artists, or fitness enthusiasts.
This product is also great if you want to add more variety to your shop without having to create brand-new designs from scratch.
Just tweak your existing artwork to fit a journal layout, and you’re good to go!
PRODUCT #5
Jigsaw Puzzles
This last one may surprise you: jigsaw puzzles!
Yes, people are buying personalized puzzles for their homes, and they make great gifts.
You can print beautiful landscapes, and abstract art, or even offer to turn a buyer’s photo into a puzzle.
Puzzles are a bit more unique, which is why they can sell for a good price. It costs around $19 to make a puzzle, and you can sell it for anywhere between $30 to $50, depending on the size and design.
Personalized puzzles — like turning a family photo into a puzzle — can fetch even higher prices.
You can make puzzles for all sorts of themes, like weddings, birthdays, or holidays. It’s a creative way to offer something special and different from what’s already in your shop.
TOOLS YOU SHOULD USE
Even if you sell products other than mugs or t-shirts, it doesn't mean it will cost you more.
There are tools that can help you with the tasks, and most of them have free versions.
