ADVICE #1
The "Too Many Sellers" Myth

too many Etsy sellers

People love to say "Etsy is too crowded!"

That's right, but it's actually good news at the same time!

When lots of people sell something, it means lots of people want to buy it.

And one more thing might shock you.

What you think about your products isn't important. What matters is what buyers think.

Many sellers make beautiful products that nobody wants to buy. Other sellers create simple designs in minutes that become huge hits.

So, know your customers before you start selling on Etsy.

ADVICE #2
The Time Excuse

"I don't have time" is just another way of saying "this isn't important to me."

We all get 24 hours each day.

If you spend three hours watching TV but say you have no time for your shop, you're not being honest with yourself.

I used to say I had no time, but then I noticed I spent two hours daily playing phone games!

ADVICE #3
Pick One Thing and Rock It

selling on Etsy

Trying to sell everywhere at once? Bad idea!

Start with just Etsy. Master it.

Then you can try other places. I tried selling on many websites and marketplaces at once. Redbubble, Zazzle, Society6 or Spreadshirt.

And failed.

When I focused only on Etsy, everything got better. It's like learning to juggle - start with one ball before trying three!

One more thing. Don’t try to be perfect.

Many people spend months planning their perfect shop. They never actually opened it!

Don’t wait for the right time, just open your shop.

ADVICE #4
If You're Not Selling, It's Your Job to Fix It

Bad sales? Easy to blame the economy, the season, or bad luck.

But successful shops make money in good times and bad times.

Last year, during tough economic times, many shops made lots of money. Why? They focused on fixing problems instead of finding excuses.

Make better photos for your listings. Focus on SEO for your titles and tags. Make the descriptions more readable.

Just a few fixes to begin with.

Is running an Etsy shop easy? Nope!

is it worth it? If you're ready to work hard and learn, absolutely!

Start today. Not tomorrow, not next week - today.

Have a wonderful day,
